Fine Arts & Flowers

Presented by The Council of VMFA, Fine Arts & Flowers is a spectacular museum-wide exhibition of floral designs inspired by the works in the VMFA Collection. Floral designs are by members of the Garden Club of Virginia, Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, Ikebana of Richmond and Garden Clubs of Virginia. 

Fine Arts & Flowers 2021 was held October 20, 2021- October 24, 2021.

Special events for Fine Arts and Flowers 2021 kicked off with a dazzling Gala celebrating the reinstallation of the acclaimed Mellon Collections and the preview of more than eighty floral interpretations. Other special events included renowned guest speakers, luncheons, a fashion show- luncheon featuring designs by students from Virginia Commonwealth University, an Edible Brunch, floral design workshops, exhibition tours, curator tours with wine and cheese reception, and a variety of family activities. 

Proceeds from Fine Arts & Flowers supports ongoing research, development and installation of exceptional exhibitions at VMFA.
